Optometric Technician
OnSight Vision, Inc.Boston, MA

$25 an hour – approximately 2 days per week

We are seeking a detailed, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to assist our patients with receiving an exceptional eye care experience. Candidates seeking a fun yet professional environment, stable hours and long term employment should apply. Candidate will undergo a background check and will be required to complete the American Optometric Association ParaOptometric certification after 6 months of employment.

We are a growing company that offers a professional and fun work environment and competitive pay. Optometric/Optical/Ophthalmology experience highly preferred.

Duties: We will train the right person!

  • Using EyeNetra equipment, technician with assist patients in obtaining vision refraction information (autorefractor, lensometry, phoropter)
  • Collect patient data and ensure intake information is accurate
  • Answer questions in a professional, courteous manner

Requirements:

  • College graduate preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, sense of humor, knowledge of basic office software, friendly personality, ability to problem solve
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Make patients feel welcome as if they were guests in your own home
  • Must be a team player, and work with a smile and embrace an office culture dedicated to serving our patients
  • Must be detail oriented, dependable, organized, and someone who strives to exceed expectations
  • Must have 2 years of work experience as an optician, optometric assistant, sales associate, or customer service-oriented position
  • Must have a professional appearance, and excellent star customer service skills.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday
  • We’re looking for a playful personality with a great smile, who likes to have fun but knows how to get to work

Senior Full Stack Developer
As a senior developer on our engineering team, you would be responsible for taking ideas from concept through to deployment. You would be expected to significantly shape the technical future of our platform, and introduce new perspectives into development strategies that drive efficiencies. As the ideal candidate you should have previously built large scale web systems and be excited about helping the company scale.

On a technical level you should have at least four years of experience with Ruby on Rails (or an equivalent web development environment) and at least two years of experience with a Javascript framework like Ember.JS. You should be very comfortable designing large software systems. Furthermore you should take pride in your software craftsmanship and value a clean object oriented software design. A strong focus on automated testing (unit testing, integration testing and Cucumber knowledge) is mandatory.

Senior Sales Manager
We are looking for a go-getter who is not afraid to make the call, send the email, and be on top of the sales cycle for our fast-growing service. This role will be a senior sales role in the organization, with potential for growth into management and/or regional leadership. Experience selling in the medical industry is desired, as is experience working with a service-oriented offering.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a primary sales role, and have shown the ability to use their sales acumen to help drive business growth. Reference from past employers will be required.

This position can be remote.

Optometrist
OnSight Vision, Inc has an immediate opening for a state-licensed Optometrists throughout the United States. We’re a rapidly growing start-up looking to change the way patients think about and get eye examinations. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience working as a licensed Optometrist and a background in treating eye-related disorders and conditions. We will also consider candidates who have worked as opticians and only recently fulfilled their educational requirements to become Optometrists. However, you must have passed the licensing exam prior to your hire date. We offer flexible hours, competitive pay and an excellent benefits package for the right applicant.

    – Conduct routine eye examinations, including visual field tests using OnSight’s cutting edge technologies
    – Determine each patient’s visual acuity, field of vision and hand-eye coordination
    – Take detailed medical histories for all patients, including current and past prescription medications
    – Evaluate eye-related symptoms, such as discharge, redness and inflammation
    – Prescribe corrective lenses when required
    – Refer patients to board-certified ophthalmologists when required for more holistic eye care
    – Educate patients on proper eye care
    – Identify eye health safety factors that could impact vision, such as working in front of a computer

Optician
OnSight Vision, Inc needs a Certified Dispensing Optician to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. We run an innovative and exciting business that is changing the way that patients think about eye exams and eye wear purchasing. The successful candidate should be prepared to work up to 40 hours per week and should be knowledgeable about all different types of contact lenses and glasses, including the current online eyewear market. We sell frames on site at our corporate events, and ship out orders for lenses. Our patients expect fast, friendly service and attention to detail when fitting corrective lenses, and want to trust the new way we are helping them take care of their eye health. If you enjoy serving patients of all ages and if you have a license in good standing, we want to talk to you.

  • Learn, understand and educate customers about our innovative eye care platform
  • Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
  • Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
  • Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
  • Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
  • Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety

OnSight Vision, Inc is looking for a junior to mid-level manager with experience managing events and programs in a corporate environment. This role is available in multiple geographic locations with extensive hiring in the Boston, New York and San Francisco metro area. Remote work is possible.

  • Be the voice of the business at the event, and collaborate with our corporate partners to create a great event for employees
